The World Wildlife Fund is aiming to build sustainable dams in the Chinese Mekong-area. Therefore they want greater insight in the financial institutions thay may be interested in this project. This study identifies domestic and foreign institutions that at present have financial linkages to the companies developing mainstream dam projects in the Mekong-area and who could be involved in the WWF-project. Furthermore, the paper gives recommendations to the WWF.
