The necessity of setting to work an HFR in Petten
The High Flux Reactor in Petten (NL) was temporarily shut down in August 2008, due to a spill in the distribution pipe of the cooling water which could lead to a melt down with terrible consequences. In spite of the fact that the reactor does not meet the requirements for a licence, the HFR has been put to work again op 12 February 2009. Is this a matter of medical interests? Or also economic interests?
